Alrighty, dear members of BOM, so we have successfully conviced Bree/Knownledge that we are in need of some moderators. The question now is....

DO YOU WANT (TO BE) MODS?!

I want to know which of you lovely members wish to be moderators. We will be making 2-3 people mods, and the general tasks for these lucky people will simply be to help us out. As a mod, you'd be advertising, and updating the claims as needed as well as looking at the roleplay threads to make sure no one is god-modding, or breaking any rules. So if you wish to join our staff team reply to this thread with any experience you may have, and why we should make you a mod.

Hello, tis me Mark. Since you two have straightened this out I would like to apply!

As you may know already I have some experience as a Mod on a few other sites I've been on through the years I've spent RPing on Proboards. I'm also kind of... okay fine I'm obsessed with Soul Eater I said it :'D I'm also a bit of a perfectionist so most of the time when I get things done I get them done right, and if I don't I'll fix it till it is.

I'm also pretty active when it comes to RP sites. Ima stalk you! And I'm always checking the claims threads and other stuff on here so when I'm around I usually be doing something Mod and or Member related. I'd also like to think I'm pretty friendly Or at least I think so... I don't want to sound biased or anything...anyway!

I think I'd be able to really help you guys out and make this site even more tidy and fun. Thank you for listening!

Heya, Sakuranboy here! I usually go by Sakuran in the cbox, though either title is fine

I believe I would make a valuable mod for BOM. I have commented before on a previous topic about my experience and qualifications for the position, so I'll just restate them here.

First of all, I have had quite a lot of roleplaying experience, as well as some moderator experience. I've been RPing for about three years now, which may show through my activity on BOM. In fact, I've even recently participated in a previous Soul Eater RP called "A Sound Soul." I know Mark, Drasi, and a couple of other users on BOM from that RP actually. As far as my moderator experience goes, I have run several very casual RPs on TamaTalk.com. The most current RP that I’m running on TamaTalk is called “My Would-Be Self”, which is a Shugo Chara RP. You can find My Would-Be Self here.

Now I will cover the skills that I would be able to provide to BOM. With my experience moderating, I’ve become especially skilled at grading applications and keeping an eye on threads (for things such as godmodding, which is a big pet peeve of mine.) I’m also a good median, as I enjoy taking advice and criticism from the other RPers. These would be the main benefits members of the site would experience if I was made a moderator here ^_^

Lastly, I like to say that I’m a fun person who is easy to talk to and interact with. Just talk to me in the cbox; as an extrovert, I’d be more than happy to have a conversation with you (or just goof off and have fun xD)! I believe that this is a very important qualification, because if a moderator does not have patience, is unwilling to work with other people, and/or fails to realize that the main purpose of an RP is to have good fun, then little progress will be made and the entire RP will suffer as a result.

Considering the above qualifications that I possess, I do hope I’ll be considered for a moderator position. Thanks for taking your time to read!

Hi! It's Drasi, and I'm here to apply!

To start off with, I think I'd be a better fit managing claims and such. I'm kind of crazy when it comes to getting lists in order, and I have a huge tendency to be reliant on claims listings and such on other forums. Plus, I don't have a problem reading around code (so navigating what you already have up shouldn't be a problem). I'm on here a lot (practically every day), so I could keep those lists updated as much as possible.

I also wouldn't mind helping out as a kind of "newbie guide", like a person who helps get a new member on their feet and ready to go around here (if you even need that here). I have a tendency to do that already and did it a lot on previous forums.

As for prior experience, I've been in the RPing field for about seven years or so now. I've been floating around proboards for at least two of those, so I understand how these types of forums work. I've never actually been a mod or an admin, though. I also co-manage a deviantArt group (mainly checking submissions and keeping track of updates), and I'm an admin on an anime confession blog on tumblr (Here! I go by the name Gumi on there). A lot of the tumblr stuff is just basic image-editing, but who knows? It might come in handy.
